Tuhitarata Homestead
Tuhitarata Homestead is just one of the beautiful accommodation options available for hire on site at Lacewood. Tuhitarata Homestead is an 1860’s historic homestead with grand and timeless interiors with every amenity you could possibly need provided.
Tuhitarata Homestead sleeps up to 16 people with six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a media room, library, and a swimming pool!
Lacewood’s Tuhitarata Homestead has a gorgeous conservatory looking out over the gardens with fantastic lighting for getting your wedding makeup done
On warm summer days you can take advantage of Tuhitarata Homesteads private garden and get ready outdoors
Or you can get ready indoors amongst the Homestead’s grand interiors
The Shearers Quarters
The Shearers Quarters is another fantastic onsite accommodation option available at Lacewood. The Shearers Quarters is located on the opposite end of the property to Tuhitarata Homestead so if you are wanting to get ready separately without seeing each other beforehand you can rest easy knowing you wont cross paths. The Shearer’s Quarters has plenty of outdoor space so you can play games or get ready outdoors if you wish.
The Shearers Quarters can sleep up to 10 people and consists of 5 separate external access bedrooms all with ensuites.
The interiors of The Shearer’s Quarters are tastefully decorated in neutral tones making it a lovely calm space for getting ready in on the morning of your wedding
Lacewood’s Tree Lined Garden Ceremony Spot
Lacewood’s garden ceremony spot is an idyllic tree lined lawn that centres around a beautiful big tree that acts as the centrepiece for the ceremony. Lacewoods garden ceremony location is a large space so you can fit as many people as you like with plenty of room for both seating and standing. The ground is flat and easy to walk on and the trees lining the garden make it a beautiful little nature haven for your wedding ceremony.
Lacewoods garden ceremony location is just a short walk from both The Shearers Quarters and Tuhitarata Homestead so you can simply walk to the ceremony after getting ready.

Lacewood has fantastic flow from one space to the next with multiple outdoor areas for your guests to mingle and play games
A great thing about Lacewood is you can have each part of your wedding day in a different part of the property. So your guests get to experience new locations on your wedding day simply by walking to the next spot. This is fantastic as it means there’s no driving between locations on your wedding day which means you get to spend more time with your guests.

Lacewoods reception venue is rustic elegance
With its cathedral ceiling and wood panelled walls, Lacewood is an incredibly elegant barn style wedding reception venue. Lacewood’s elegant barn is a beautiful open plan space for your wedding reception, comfortably seating up to 200 people. So if you are looking for a large wedding venue that can seat all of your guests in style, Lacewood might be the venue for you.
Lacewood has an in-house catering company so you can either choose from their existing menu options, or they can tailor a menu for you.

Lacewood has a large open plan dance floor with plenty of room for a live band
Lacewood’s large reception venue has a fantastic dance floor space beside the dining area. This is great because it means you don’t have to interrupt the flow of your reception to move tables. This way your wedding reception can flow naturally from dining to dancing giving your wedding a lovely relaxed feel.
On warm summer nights your wedding guests can watch the sunset over the barn and have a drink under the stars
